Leading with Discipline, Empathy and Vision
My career has taught me to value, above all, discipline, method and the importance of forming and inspiring committed teams. In the food industry, quality is not just a requirement, it's a culture.
“Quality in food isn’t just a requirement, it’s a culture. At Carrinho Group, we’ve fused discipline, empathy and technology to create transparent, traceable and sustainable systems that inspire trust and ensure excellence across every production line”
Over the years, I have learned that leading by example, with transparency and clear communication of objectives, fosters an environment in which everyone understands their vital role in the safety and excellence of the products that reach the consumer. At Grupo Carrinho, I apply leadership that integrates technical rigor with empathy, encouraging innovation and continuous improvement.
Harnessing Technology to Elevate Food Safety and Trust
At Grupo Carrinho, we have invested heavily in the digitalization of quality processes, implementing automated systems that monitor critical indicators in real time from the reception of raw materials to the final product. A significant innovation was the introduction of blockchain technology with the help of ERP software for complete product traceability, allowing the consumer and the company full visibility of the origin and safety of food, significantly increasing trust and transparency in the food chain.
One of the biggest challenges is to ensure uniformity and standardization of processes and practices across all units and production lines, especially considering the diversity of our portfolio. To meet these challenges, we implement rigorous ongoing training programs, frequent internal audits and investments in advanced control and monitoring technology. In this way, we are able to quickly anticipate and correct any deviations, thus maintaining consistent quality.
Driving Sustainable and Future-Ready Quality Practices
Sustainability is not just a value— it’s an integral part of our quality strategy. We prioritize practices such as reducing waste, optimizing the use of water and energy and the responsible management of natural resources. Technologies such as smart sensors and data analysis have been essential in reducing waste and increasing operational efficiency. In addition, we adopt biodegradable and recyclable packaging, ensuring that our environmental footprint is increasingly reduced.
I believe that artificial intelligence, machine learning and IoT sensors will revolutionize quality control in our industry, enabling predictive monitoring, rapid risk identification and real-time decisionmaking. At Grupo Carrinho, we are already testing these advanced technologies in pilot projects and continually investing in training our teams to deal effectively with these innovations, ensuring that we are always ahead of the curve, ready for the future.
